LogMaster
Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
Short version: your logbook lives on your iPhone, and in your own private iCloud only if you turn on sync. LogMaster has no account, no server of its own, no advertising and no analytics. Data leaves your phone only when you ask for a callsign lookup, upload to QRZ, or share a file yourself.
What the app stores, and where
Your contacts (callsign, date and time, frequency, band, mode, reports, name, QTH, grid square, notes, park references) and your station details (callsign, grid square, power, profiles) are stored on your device.
- iCloud Sync (LogMaster Pro, off by default). When you turn it on, your logbook is also stored in your own private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit, so it appears on your other devices. It counts against your iCloud storage. We cannot see or access it.
- Device backups. Your logbook is included in your own iPhone backups if you have them enabled.
- Deleting. Delete contacts in the app, or delete the app to remove everything on the device. Data in your iCloud can be removed in your iPhone's iCloud settings.
When data leaves your phone
Only in these cases, each started by you:
- Callsign lookup (on by default, can be turned off in Settings). As you type a callsign, that callsign is sent to HamDB.org to fetch the licensee's public name, location and grid square. Nothing else is sent.
- QRZ Logbook upload (LogMaster Pro). When you tap Upload, the contacts being uploaded and your QRZ API key are sent to QRZ.com. Your key is stored in your iPhone's Keychain and is sent only to QRZ.
- Export. ADIF and CSV files go wherever you choose to share them.
- Location. Only when you tap the location button, your position is read once to work out your Maidenhead grid square. The grid square is saved; your location is not stored or sent anywhere.
Purchases
LogMaster Pro is bought through Apple. Apple tells the app that the purchase happened; we never see your name, Apple Account or payment details.
What we do not do
- No account or sign-in.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking inside the app, and no data sold or shared with anyone.
- No server of our own that receives your log.
This website
This site does not use cookies, analytics or trackers. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs to run and protect the service.
Children
LogMaster is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
